First demo of Graviride is published!

Ok, this is it, my first published demo. I´ve had numerous game projects during my life time, but I have never published anything playable anywhere... before this.

Graviride started as a side project while I was working on a much bigger game (again...), but it quickly got my full attention. Partly because I realised (again..) that my main project was absolutely too ambitious for my current skillset and time I can invest to game devving (I´m a father of two, those with children know what it is like), but also because I found Graviride was actually FUN to work with and more importantly, fun to PLAY after I had somewhat cemented out it´s core mechanics.

Game combines physics based vehicle driving with shoot-em-up-elements in 2d environment and  stresses on practice and speed.  It is also brutal in an oldschool way: three lives at start, one hit kills. And if you die, you start the whole level again. But levels will be short, if not hard.

There are just enough in there at the moment, that I think it starts to show it´s potential, but I cannot wait to add features that really make it a game, like music, proper enemies and gravity altering game mechanics that are not currently used at demo level, but were part of the design plan almost right from the start. And more varied levels offcourse.

Graviride is in early days of development, but I wanted to release a demo as soon as I had something I my self consider fun to play and maybe see if anyone else thinks it has potential or if it has not.

I would really appreciate any feedback, and if someone, even one individual checks out this demo and maybe gives their thoughts on it, it would be a win in my books!

But, better get back to it. Be fast, be bold and enjoy your day!
